The Event

Presented by Title Partners Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and Kittredge Equipment, along with our Race Partners and Friends of the Mass Dash, the Mass Dash will take place on Saturday and Sunday, July 17th and 18th, 2010.  Starting shortly after sunrise, teams of up to twelve runners each will begin their adventures, running approximately 200 miles in a non-stop relay race comprising 36 legs across Massachusetts--- from the Berkshires to Boston.

On Saturday morning, the teams will first ascend Mount Greylock, Massachusetts’ highest point, and then explore the woods of the Savoy Mountain Forest.  On Saturday afternoon, the teams will run along the Deerfield River and by the Shelburne Falls, stopping for a swim, of course, along the way.  Saturday evening will find the teams crossing the Connecticut River at the foot of Sugarloaf Mountain at dusk, and crossing the Winsor Dam on the Quabbin Reservoir in the moonlight--- with a bonfire at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in between.

On Sunday morning, the teams will run through the beautiful colonial towns of Westborough, Hopkinton, Sherborn and Wellesley.  And Sunday afternoon will find the teams taking a stroll through the Arnold Arboretum and Franklin Park in Boston, finishing the relay race and their adventure in the shadow of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, overlooking Boston Harbor on the grounds of the University of Massachusetts at Boston.

The experience will leave you absolutely breathless--- in more ways than you can imagine!

We hope that you’ll be a part of the Mass Dash…
