Fundraising

Since its founding in 1947, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has been committed to providing the finest expert and compassionate care to children and adults with cancer while advancing the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of cancer and related diseases.  For over sixty years, the Jimmy Fund has provided enormous financial support to Dana-Farber in the fight against cancer, helping to save countless lives of those with cancer in our local communities and around the world…

And this is one of the reasons why the Mass Dash is different than other team relay races.  We’re more than just a great race and a good time.  To help in the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber’s fight against cancer, each team in the Mass Dash is asked to commit to raise $1000 or more in charitable contributions to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.  These donations can be made by check or made via Pay-Pal on the “Donate” page of the Mass Dash website.

Of course, the greater the charitable contributions raised by each team, the better for the cause--- and we will be awarding some fabulous prizes for those teams raising the most funds for Dana-Farber.  But for a standard team of twelve runners, this commitment amounts to a minimum fund-raising of just $84 per runner--- a pretty easy number to reach, but a very meaningful contribution in a very big fight…

The experience will leave you absolutely breathless--- in more ways than you can imagine!

We hope that you’ll be a part of the Mass Dash
